Default Encasing Stringers

When a tutorial calls for an encased stringer....is that just a color encased in clear? Made the same way as pulling a stringer?

Yep. Probably to keep the inner parts from reacting with the glass you're using it with and/or to protect whatever it is you're encasing. (Like goldstone, etc)

Currently... torch is cold. Not sure when I'll be making glass again. Hothead and Lynx user.

not always clear - red encased in transparent red for instance, stops the red from bleeding into the clear in encased beads, or encasing perewinkle in rubino makes the most gorgeous purple, white encased in clear keeps the white more stable
